With a 20-year industry application developer and educator, students will learn various essential foundations for app development and how to use AI technology to build applications more efficiently. Join us this summer and start your journey into the exciting world of coding with AI.

Prerequisite

Rising 9th and up
Programming skills - completion of CS23 (Data Structure) or AP CS A (or passing the equivalent diagnostic test)
Student’s personal computer with admin privileges and 10GB of free space on the hard drive

Course Outcomes

Opportunity to build personal portfolio apps to post their projects and to boost summer camp/college application
Opportunity to participate in the Congressional App Challenge competition (https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/)

An overview of ChatGpt and how it works
Using ChatGpt to generate code snippets and to suggest solutions

TAEHEE JUNG, CFA

Taehee Jung is a vice president and senior developer at PIMCO, focused on client management technologies and analytics. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, he was with 20th Century FOX as a senior consultant and with National Bankers Group Inc as a computer information system director.
